What are the UL Standards?
A standard is the written sum of minimum requirements by which
a product, service or process is evaluated.
UL has developed more than 800 standards for safety. They contain
requirements used to investigate materials, components, products
and systems. UL standards have been used to test and examine products
in the nearly 12,000 generic product categories shown in our published
Product Directories.
UL Standards for Safety are continuously reviewed and updated.
A standard is current only if it incorporates the most recently
adopted revisions.
